Fife Council has expanded the places where people can pick up free period products by working in partnership with OnFife. From 1 April, a full range of disposable and reusable items including period pants, pads and menstrual cups will be available in libraries, theatres, museums and galleries across Fife.

This update means people can now choose from more products in more convenient places, whether they prefer single‑use items or reusable options that are better for the environment.

Free period products are already available in many public buildings, schools, community venues, Fife Sports and Leisure Trust sites, Fife Coast and Countryside Trust venues and some NHS locations. Products can also be ordered online and delivered directly to people’s homes through the Council’s partnership with Hey Girls.

Cllr Linda Erskine, Fife Council’s Spokesperson for Communities, said:“We want everyone in Fife to have easy, dignified access to the period products they need. Our new partnership with OnFife helps us offer even more choice, including reusable options that are better for both the environment and people’s budgets. Libraries, theatres, museums and galleries are trusted, welcoming places at the heart of our communities, so they are ideal locations for this support.”

The Council continues to work with partners across Fife to reduce period poverty, promote menstrual health, and make sure products are available in private and respectful ways.
