Fife Council is looking for people to have their say on where they would like to see investment in play equipment in the Droverhall Area of Crossgates. This means the local community can choose whether this should be in the existing play park at Droverhall Avenue or at Mossgreen, which is currently greenspace.
One option involves installation of new play equipment at Droverhall, leaving Mossgreen as a useable greenspace. Alternatively, play equipment will be installed on the current greenspace at Mossgreen and the play equipment which is currently at Droverhall will remain in place until it is time to remove it due to disrepair and/or old age.
Once the site is agreed by the local community, Fife Council will then run further consultation to decide on the specific equipment for the playpark.
Councillor Linda Erskine Fife Council Spokesperson for Communities and Leisure, said: “Play is important for children’s health and wellbeing, and play parks provide important opportunities for outdoor play.
“Funding is available to upgrade and refurbish one of the Droverhall play areas in Crossgates.
“We’re currently carrying out a consultation where the community can let us know where they would like us to invest.
“I’d encourage as many people as possible to take part and have their say by either filling in a short survey at Play area at Droverhall or Mossgreen – You choose – Fife Council – Citizen Space or by picking up and returning a paper copy of the form to Crossgates Community Centre, or Crossgate Primary School, no later than 27th February 2026” .
