Police have confirmed a 15 year old pupil from Beath High School has died after taking unwell on a bus in Halbeath today (Monday).
In a statement, they said, “Around 1.45pm on Monday 24th November 2025 we received a report that a 15-year-old male had taken unwell on a bus at the Halbeath roundabout in Dunfermline.
“Emergency services attended, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been made aware.”
“His death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing.”
It’s understood the pupil was travelling to a class at the Fife College Dunfermline campus.
Steve Ross, Rector at Beath High issued a statement to parents and staff this afternoon, saying pupils will be supported through this difficult time.
He said “This is a very sensitive and difficult time for the family. Our thoughts are very much with the family and loved ones at this time. The staff and I are in the process of arranging a number of inputs for young people to ensure that access to further support is clearly signposted.”
