Local good causes have been awarded more than £20,000 in the latest round of funding from 4 Winds.
The charity announced who will be sharing the wind farm funding at a recent presentation event in Auchtertool, with 8 community groups receiving awards.
Amongst the successful organisations in this round were Auchtertool Village Hall, who will receive £6,000 towards the refurbishment of the building.
Commenting on the latest awards, acting Chairperson, Eleanor Martin, said:
“We congratulate all the successful groups who are receiving grant awards in this latest round and wish them all well with their projects. The funding from Little Raith Wind Farm continues to make such a huge difference to these groups and is supporting lots of vital community work across our patch. We are very privileged as trustees to be in the position to support so many good causes.”
Also picking up an award was Lochgelly West Primary School Parent Council, who received £5,000 towards the refurbishment of their school playground, making it safer and more enjoyable at play time for the school kids.

Applications are now being accepted for the next round of funding, with eligibility criteria and application forms available from https://4winds.scot and the closing date is 5pm on Monday 12th August 2024.
